It certainly looks like a prison, which helps make the map more realistic. The current prison features a kitchen, laundry room, mess hall, 14 cells, a solitary confinement area, an outdoor exercise yard and more. The way things are, once you’ve played through the singular prison you will already know how to rush through it in subsequent playthroughs, which makes it rather boring. Though The Escapists map only features a single prison so far, there are plans in the works to increase the total number of prisons, which would give the map much more replay value than it already has. You literally cannot beat this map without going through the prison and dealing with as many NPCs as possible, so you’d better put on your explorer’s cap for this one. You’ll need to utilize these to get the materials you need for your final escape attempt at the end of the map. As you traverse through your prison you will run into lots of NPCs offering trades.
For everyone else, The Escapists map is all about breaking out of prison, but it’s not like any other prison break map on Minecraft yet. If you’ve ever played The Escapists on Steam before then you already know what to expect from this Minecraft map.
